I taught for 5 years at Amersham & Wycombe College as the course leader for Year 2 students.
Teaching
Diploma to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTILLS)
Since leaving that position I have taught numerous workshops. These have been online and in person, with adults and teens. I this capacity I have found much enjoyment in writing phone photography courses that can be facilitated by others.
As phone photography became my specialism these workshops have been predominantly centred on phone photography. In particular empowering businesses big and small to improve their photography skills in order that they can can. take ownership of their social media and tell the story of their brand in a way that’s truly engaging and authentic.
As well as writing assignments, lecturing and marking, I was responsible for the other teachers coming in to take classes with my year.
I was also responsabile for their future development and facilitating their applications for University places or job roles.
Whilst there I also taught numerous adult access courses as well as photography modules of other courses like fashion and graphic design.
A particular focus of this work os not just to improve technical skills but to develop a true understanding of storytelling and how that can be applied to social media.
